Victorian Accountant Acquires Noosa Waterfront Property for Nearly $17 Million

Mark Seery, a well-known Victorian accountant, and his wife Lisette have made a splash by purchasing a stunning waterfront home in Noosa Heads for $16.95 million.

The luxurious property at 78 Noosa Parade, once owned by former Amcor CEO Russell Jones, features five bedrooms and three bathrooms, boasting refined upgrades using Italian limestone, aged timber, and cedar.

Highlights include a private jetty, pontoon, and an infinity-edge heated pool with sweeping water views, drawing fierce interest from bidders at auction.

Meanwhile, the Seerys have listed their eye-catching ‘Gucci mansion’ in East Brisbane, known for its striking black facade and interiors by Greg Natale, with Matt Lancashire handling the sale.

This move comes as Brisbane’s property market surges past a $1 million median, driven by population growth, infrastructure projects, and excitement for the 2032 Olympics.

Prestige homes in inner suburbs such as Ascot and Hamilton remain in high demand as Queensland’s luxury real estate market thrives.

New Fire Danger Rating Sign Installed on Pound Road in Pomona

Pomona residents are celebrating the arrival of a new electronic fire danger rating sign on Pound Road, a vital boost to local fire safety efforts.

This achievement comes after sustained advocacy from Noosa MP Sandy Bolton, who championed the need for targeted fire risk alerts in rural communities.

Previously, Pomona missed out on the first rollout of electronic signs, which had focused on busier areas.

Now, real-time updates will help residents in Noosa’s northern hinterland respond more effectively as bushfire season approaches.

Local advocate Brian O’Connor and community leaders praised the rapid installation, acknowledging state government support.

The initiative is part of a broader push for disaster readiness, with new resources available from Noosa Council and workshops planned for August 30, 2025.

Residents are encouraged to stay informed and take proactive steps to protect their homes and families from fire risks.
